Now I know Scrap Iron is the manager for the NL but it almost looks like a Dusty lineup. the lineup is full of free swingers and low OBP people, except for Puljos and Rollins

Jimmy Rollins' career OBP is .327 and his OBP this season is .323. That's a low OBP person.

I wish we could have Ichiro in rihgt field for us, how awsome with that be, hed probably be climbing the baskets on the wall catching balls, the guy has a awsome, accurate are and is amazing in the field, and what great speed, he gets out of the batters box so fast, even on a rountine groundball he is always out only by a step or two

I bet every time Mets fans see Scott Kazmir, their blood pressure rises by at least 30 points.

And then they look at the NL standings.

Haven't seen any of the game (just got in), but I'm willing to bet John Legend has been the best part of the whole game.

Highlights

- McCarver calling Brad Penny's fastball 'boring' and then Penny goes out and strikes out the side to start the game with 97-98mph fastballs.

- some pretty good pitching all around

Looks like no Z this game...Gordon is coming in for the 8th

Week off to rest his arm is probably for the best. Give Z one inning to work and he'd probbly pump 102mphers up there.

Regardless of that, they're thin at starting pitcher. If they had Kazmir, they would have a formidable 1-2-3 of Pedro-Kazmir-Glavine for the playoffs.
