Is it that big of deal in a blowout? Getting Pagain some time isn't that bad of an idea. Murton has been in the pretty much everyday and playing well lately. I don't think him missing out on one AB is going to ruin him.

It is one inning and one AB, not going to get too worked up over that. He doubleswitched w/ Murton because he is furthest down in the order. Double switching w/ Pierre, who was due up 2nd in the inning would have made absolutely no sense at all.

Baker doubleswitched because he wanted to keep Novoa in the game, without having him hit in the 8th. If you bring in Novoa straight up he would have been leading off the top of the 8th. By double switching you can put in Pagan and have him hit instead.
