Cubs have walked 6 times today and only issued 2.

Hmmmmmmmm...

I wonder if Dusty can connect the dots?

The Hot Dog won the sausage race for the 3rd straight time.

The Cubs are en route to winning their third game in a row.

Coincidence? I think not.

comparing the Cubs with a weiner seems about right

Murton looking real good at the plate...thought it would figure that if he's coming out of his batting funk, Ronnie is plowing headfirst into one of his own.

If Dempster came in tonight, would it be his 3rd appearance in as many games?

Even if it is, I think he should come in and close it out. Long break coming up and he's been way too unsure these days...give him a game with a big lead.

Some time off seemed to help Murton. Maybe it will be good for Cedeno too over the break.

when did Williamson come off the DL?

June 28.

thanks, havent been following the team too closely this season, im still mostly trying to figure out how Dusty is still in the dugout, i'd pay for alot for those seats he gets for every game, and probably do more good for the team than that tool

Murton gets rewarded for his good game by being part of a double switch and coming out for Pagan.

Novoa comes in and gets the last 2 outs in 3 pitches. Nice.

Cubs 8, Brewers 2 after 7 innings

Due up for the Cubs:

Pagan

Pierre
