THT[/url]"]Runs Created. Invented by Bill James, RC is a very good measure of the number of runs a batter truly contributed to his team’s offense. The basic formula for RC is OBP*TB, but it has evolved into over fourteen different versions. We use the most complicated version, which includes the impact of hitting well with runners in scoring position, and is adjusted for ballpark impact. RC/G refers to Runs Created Per Game, which Runs Created divided by the number of outs made by the batter, times 27.

Barrett is not on the final vote block either. It's Capuano, Wagner, Abreu, Nomar and Chris Young from SD.

The AL final vote will have a chance to give the Sox another undeserving All-Star in Pierzynski but if anyone other than Hafner gets that (unless it is Liriano I guess) then there's no justice in the world.

Why would you call Pierzynski undeserving?

Looking at the All Star Game Final Vote Poll, I would say that Pierzynski is, at best, the fourth most deserving behind (in no particular order) Hafner, Liriano, and Verlander.

The fact that Liriano isn't on this team anyways is absolutely ridiculous. I am actually very, very upset about it. If he doesn't get voted in, then it is just more proof that fans shouldn't be allowed to vote.

Barrett: .300-8-30, 361/493/854

Good call, fans.

David Ross: .320-12-28, .395/.708/1.104

You forgot 109 At-Bats.

If Ross had 100 more ABs so far, Johnny Bench would be saying bye-bye to quite a few single season records. I still think Ross has an outside chance of doing that anyway though. We'll see if he can keep it up.

I remember a very deserving pitcher in 1998 who got shafted too. Instead, that team, which was a winning one BTW, had one rep., who was injured.

If Ross had 100 more ABs, his numbers would likely be closer to his career norms.
