Rookie starting pitcher Carlos Marmol gave up 3 hits and 1 run in 6º innings. He was victimized by a blown save from Scott Eyre.

 

I think it's unfair to say Carlos was victimized by Eyre - he loaded the bases with 1 out. The fact that Eyre couldn't undo Carlos's mess w/o giving up 1 run isn't totally on Eyre. If Eyre had started the inning and given up the lead - then I'd say Carlos was victimized. As it was, Carlos just stayed in a few batters too many.

The reason why I thought it was funny is that it is so obvious to all of us that do "honor" the OBP as a real statistic while other people (who make out lineups) do not see the importance of having guys in the #2 spot with higher OBP.
