Didn't see this posted anywhere yet and not even sure if it goes on this forum, but Q101 just said that Andy MacPhail announced that he would be stepping down as Cubs president.
Do I detect sarcasm? I thought we established if you are going to be sarcastic in writing, you must use an emoticon, italics, bolding or underlines.
ahh..but in my defense there was no emotion. In my defense, I thought it was obvious. Maybe I should have used some bolds, and emoticons or italics. But then I feel that would have taken away from the genius of the post :)
Dude, I was being facetious. If anyone watched ESPN for 12 minutes in the past two days, they would have been inundated with Yankees/Red Sox matchups this weekend.
Why don't we have every NSBB member wrap up and ship our copies of Moneyball to Jim Hendry with a little note asking him politely to read it? Maybe then he will sit down, read a book and get some semblance of OBP. There are better books for Jim to read than Moneyball. I'd prefer he start with the Hidden Game of Baseball and work from there. Well any book on OBP would due. Just start sending him everything we got. Maybe after awhile he will be bored and pick one up and have a eurika (sp?) moment.

Big Z is hitting a HR every 11.5 at bats. BBTN showed a list of the top hr/at bats and he was 4th best. Albert was #1. Don't remember the others. Maybe Carlos should move to the outfield to get more at bats. It worked well for Babe Ruth.
What about taking into account how well C. Lee plays at Wrigley (or at least seems to in my feeble mind) Every game I watch with him at Wrigley he seems to do pretty darn well. Granted, it is a much smaller sample size than it would be if he was a Cub. From Wednesday's Sun-Times..." Lee has a career .310 average (36-for-116) at Wrigley Field with 12 home runs -- his most at any opponent's ballpark"
Isn't it supposed to be pernounced "An-hal" or something? The 'g' being silent. Yeah, I don't know. I am just trying to find some way to defend the Cubs. It is getting really hard lately
Alright let's see how I can rationalize this. Big Z is an "established" pitcher so they will not "Americanize" his name. And Guzman has a "holy" name so Angel is okay. This is all George W.'s work in play here. You know how much he don't like them foriegners...
