  1. Better still: Bring Joshua to him. Fire Clines and promote Joshua to major league hitting coach. Lets just swap coaching staffs with Iowa. Joshua is a better hitting coach, Dunn is a better pitching coach, Quade's a better manager....heck whomever their bench coach is probably does a better job than Pole does; lets just clean the house that Dusty built and start over. What does a bench coach do? (on a real team, not the cubs...)
  2. same thing happened last year too. Albeit, later in the season. I was able to get many tickets the night before a game from cubs.com and sit first row off of the bullpens.
  3. It looked like the guy behind him was getting pissed off at him though. Probably for blocking his view. I thought he was going get in a fight.
  4. If anyone from out of town is planning on attending a game this week, I have some daily parking passes for lakeview/wrigleyville that will allow you to safely park on most streets in the area. They are only good until June 30th. Feel free to send me an email at jwhatti@hotmail.com with subject: NSBB. As I am unemployed I should be around all day everyday to pass the permits on to you before the game.
  5. Hey Len, Can you please help me understand why Neifi continuously bats second? I just can't seem to figure it out.
  6. If you are going to a day game, you can park on the street around Wrigley in the Lakeview neighborhood. Just have to make sure you are out before 6 pm. You need a parking pass if it is past 6 pm. I have a few that can go to board members for this month if anyone needs them. I live on Sheffield and Diversy about 10 blocks south of Wrigley
  7. They will keep selling out every game because the tickets are already sold. Us unhappy fans will continue to be "sheep" and go through the turnstiles because we already gave the crooks at the Trib our hard earned money. Trust me, if I knew that every time I went to the game, I had to see Neifi batting 2nd I wouldn't have wasted my money. But since I already have my tickets and I live right down the block, I will continue to go watch the games every saturday. Probably will next year also...There always is next year...right?
  8. "Unfortunately, he's off to a good start. After being benched in favor of Todd Walker early on, Perez found himself in the Cubs' starting lineup for the first time Friday. He responded by going 3-for-4 with a double against the Reds, and afterward told reporters: It was a lucky day. Any time I get three hits it's a lucky game. I'm not a great hitter. I've yet to come across an official list of the biggest understatements in the history of mankind, but I've got to think that would crack the top five. Hypothetically, I believe it would rank just slightly ahead of me telling someone, "I think Jessica Alba is kind of cute," and just slightly behind the person replying, "Your chances of dating her are pretty slim." "
  9. from Thank you
  10. I am curious as to how in the H-E-Double Hockey Sticks, Hendry/Cubs Management could justify giving Dusty an extension
  11. omg are you for real?? balls are gonna be flyiiiiiiin "Rusch is due, dude. Rusch is due" Stupid question here. When you (weather dudes) say SW Wind at X mph, do you mean the wind is blowing to the SW or the wind is blowing from the SW?
  12. Where's Neifi? He is the most important player in the history of baseball
  13. you shoulda screamed back lifes tuff, son. get used to it. Or just hit him with the bat to shut him up!
  14. I'd bat Murton 2nd or 6th right now. I'd put the lineup together as follows: Walker Murton Jones Nevin Ramirez Barrett Cedeno Pierre The only problem with that line up is Neifi isn't in it. Dusty has to have Neifi in there for his stellar defense and switch hitting ablilities.
  15. I got a ball after that. At least I think so. It was on May 27th the last time Murton threw me a ball. That was after the Jones incident wasn't it?
  16. How about another fault being that he keeps relying on Wood and Prior to be healthy and not sign another starting pitcher. Oh, I'm sorry, he did with Wade Miller. Too bad he is hurt too.
  17. Does anyone know if they stopped throwing the in-between innings warm up balls in to the stands now? I was at the game last night and not once did anyone toss a ball out. Was it just because it was a night game maybe? I have gotten two balls earlier this year (both from Murton) but they were day games. I wonder if someone got hurt and now the Cubs Legal department told them not to throw them in. Or the Tribune is too cheap to give away free baseballs to fans.
  18. Does anyone know the win/loss totals with Neifi starting? Also, can anyone tell me why he bats 2nd? Especially when Ronny is batting .300? I am sure someone has posted this somewhere on here. If so, could someone post a link to it? Thanks
  19. Where'd you get it? This place has his jersey, but I think that link given above refers to a place that could make whichever t-shirt you wanted, at pretty reasonable prices too. I got mine at the store at Clark and Addison. Directly acroos Addison from the Marque. That is where I got mine too.
  20. This is great. Must have taken forever... http://www.gothamist.com/archives/2006/04/11/reliving_one_in.php
  21. And the family section in far left field is gone now too. The bleacher section goes all the way to the foul pole
  22. Vance, It is an easy walk, about 20 minutes at an easy pace from clark and diversey. I live a few block west of your hotel at sheffield and diversey and I make the walk all the time, and I will every saturday that they are home this year! As for parking on the streets. Lakeview is a 383 zone and you do not need any permits to park there before 6 pm. The areas that are LV2, I am not sure about those. I think those are not zoned areas, but need permits only for night games. Best Pizza in town: D'agastino's on Southport and Addison - about 4 blocks west of wrigley. after that Rinali's on clark and any of the lou malnati's are good.
  23. Yeah, No LaTroy Hawkins for a whole season!!!!
  24. Did anyone notice that on the Ticket Order Form that they gave to the people with Wristbands that there was not an option to buy anything better than Upper Deck Box seats? No field or club level box seats.
  25. Tom Shaer was in my office yesterday and I asked him if he had any inside scoops and he said that he thinks the Cubs will give Hendry an extension any day now.
