This week in baseball...

BB (4-8) vs NSBB (9-3)

SOS (6-6) vs Lynx (7-5)

NC (2-10) vs DB (2-10)

Fuzz (3-9) vs Raw (6-6)

Alamo (4-8) vs GHS (9-3)

Quakers (9-3) vs Buddiga (10-2)

Bees (4-8) vs HBC (9-3)

Toots (6-6) vs Trots (6-6)

Games of the week

1) Quakers vs Buddiga

The Quakers are coming off a rough week against GHS. While Buddiga was the points leader last week. But the Quakers have a 9-6 advantage in starts. A Quakers win would really tighten the race in the east.

2) NC vs DB

Whoever wants the cellar is going to have to fight for last this week. At the end of the week only one team will be able to claim the title of the worst team in Roadkill. Good Luck - or bad depending on your perspective.

A final note: I will be heading to Vienna at the end of the week. I have found that internet cafes have been easy to locate during my other trips so, outside of learning how to deal with the time difference, I should be able to continue to manage my team.

Matt changed his team name and logo, and I laughed my ass off for about 15 mins. He said he did it to reflect his team's play as of late. Good stuff!

This is the third week in a row I've been matched against another 2-win team. Hopefully the third time will be the charm. If so, I'll have my third win this year one week earlier in the season than my first win last year.

nothing like a blown save to kick off the week.

first homer papelbon has given up in nearly 40 innings.

Ha! My only two guys who have batted so far this week have combined for the cycle, 6 RBI, SB, 2 runs and a walk. Go me!

Ooooo. Jacobs IS playing. Another extra base hit. Thanks for calling my team a bottom feeder, Raw. You pissed 'em off.

Already a better start to this week then last! Giambi off to a great start with almost 15pts on opening day and Cabrera has almost equaled last weeks points already.

Outside of Shields, I couldn't ask for a better Monday's worth of scoring. But Budiga is good. I will probably need everyone of those points.

If you get starts like that again the next time, then the Quakers will win the week. A 9-6 advantage in starts is very difficult to overcome unless the team with the start advantage does nothing offensively.

This has been my first really good season. I missed the first draft for Roadkill. The autodraft picked decent players, but they were all nearing the end of their career (no allowance was made for a keeper league). It took awhile for my prospects to develop and then last year I decided to trade a couple of veteran stars for prospects and draft picks. That combined with a little luck (I had no idea that Glavine would be this good and Josh Johnson has been much better than anticipated) has really turned my fortunes around. Hopefully I can have a good run of teams for the next few seasons.

well, the spot on my injured reserve that opened up when patterson came back didn't stay open for long. cano to the DL...i picked up burke to take his spot.

also excited to hear that myers is taking 2 1/2 weeks off to get his life in order after he beat the [expletive] out of his wife. classy guy.

damn, randa missed a grand slam by about a foot. oh well, i had already assumed a shutout from buehrle, so anything less than that is good.

This would probably be as good a time as any to........

Zack "Cy Young" Jackson is available in trade. Stud All Star caliber player required in return. :D

Raw is not going to be happy with his pitching staff.

NICE! Snell and Reyes both go 5 innings, and were 1 inning away from quality starts, but both took over 90 pitches to get there and were gone after 5, but will likely both get losses. DLowe got absolutely raped today, for the first time since he tried to pitch injured in Week 1.

Mauer is on fire again. 4-5 yesterday with 5 rbis and 5-5 today . Ho..Hum...400 here we come.

Tell me again how the Twins were a bunch of losers for not drafting Prior.

I actually picked up Jackson for today in another league. Jerk. If the Cubs are going to lose anyway, at least Jackson should have gotten the win. :x

I finally got the production from Burnett that justifies trading the #1 draft choice for. Now he needs to keep doing this the rest of the year instead of spending more quality time on the DL.

Verlander with more points all by himself than Johan Santana, Ian Snell, Derek Lowe and Anthony Reyes combined. :w00t:

Even a bad start from Pedro and I'm doing alot better then the last couple weeks.

Keep it up Quakers!!!!! Could be a 3-way tie atop the East if all the scores hold to the end of the week.

chris burke was a nice mid-week injury replacement...0-11, 4 k's, error, gidp. i would have been better off with mickey morandini out there...literally.

Delgado to the bench (he's not available for even PH duty in the Yankee series)............Giambi moved to 1B and Lugo moved to U.
