Fecal League Standings:

Team W L PCT GB
Tampa Bay 27 39 .409 -
Chicago 26 38 .406 -
Florida 25 37 .403 -
Pittsburgh 26 40 .394 1
Kansas City 17 47 .266 9

And KC just hired Dayton Moore. :(

Yeah but in the paper down here(KC), Dan Glass says that he will still have a big say in what goes on. Dan likes to think since his dad, David is rich, that somehow makes him a smart baseball guy.

My point being, KC might be last, but they have a bright future ahead of them.

Not if Dan Glass is helping them with their draft picks and personel choices.

Moore has full freedom to do what he wants (heck, he already helped them indirectly when the passed on Miller for Hochevar). If he didn't have the full freedom, he would have waited for another team to give him that.

Well are there any studs in the 2007 draft. Say we got the #1 pick what do i have to look forward too?

Robert Stock!

What position is Stock? What kind of player is he? Who does he compare to?

HS RHP from the LA area. Hard thrower, strong breaking pitches. Also, a power-hitting catcher.

LHP David Price pitches for Vanderbilt.

I hope KC goes on a hot streak and the Cubs finish with the worst record in baseball.

Why, so Hendry gets the first pick in the draft and overdrafts some Boras represented pitcher coming off an injury?

At this rate the Marlins and DRays will have to be contracted.

There's always hope.

the sad part is our payroll is more than tampa, florida, pitt and kc combined.

forget about firing baker, someone please tell me how you can let a GM spend 95 mil for two years and finish 45 games back(at least) and make a run at the worst record in baseball and the NL...if we finish behind florida with a 15 mil payroll(that would be wood plus neifi) or tampa at 30 mil(that would be wood, prior, jones, neifi, pierre) hendry has to be fired!

No, those teams combined are in the range of 145 million while the Cubs are 95 million. Not far off considering, but still they add up to more.

With Barrett's suspension looming, the Hank White Cubs should pass the Pirates soon for last place. When that happens what will the excuse be?

The wheel of excuses says

"Barrett needs to control his temper. He's a gamer but we need him to make better decisions."

And then there were 3....

2006 Fecal League Standings (as of 6/15/06)

Team W L PCT GB
=============   ==      ==      ====    ===
Chicago Cubs 26 39 .400 -
Pittsburgh 26 41 .371 1.0
Kansas City 17 48 .262 9.0

Look for Pittsburgh to make a serious push for their contraction by end of the weekend or at most mid week. Sadly the Cubs may have to settle for pick #2 overall next June as they actually have gained ground on the Royals recently and it will take a lot to "catch" them.
