I don't know if it was posted but Wellemeyer has been picked up by KC.

Wow, from the Cubs (a pathetic team) to Florida (young but bad right now) to KC (well, just a lost cause).

It really is a shame. Welly has some nasty pitches but he just can't control it. If he were to ever gain some control he would be a filthy closer.

Did any of you stop to consider that maybe he just isn't that good?

It's crossed my mind.

At least he made the majors, which puts him ahead of many a minor league player.

He's not good because he has no control, which is exactly what I posted above.

True, but you also claim that with better control, he would be a filthy closer. If I had more control and could throw in the mid 90's, I could be a closer too. Alas, I'm just not that good.

I'm entitled to my opinion and I do believe that if he had control he would be.

the likelihood of him improving his control is far better than you throwing in the mid 90's with good control.

Thanks Tim McCarver.

Between Welly and Sisco, Kansas City is becoming the graveyard of former Cub pitching prospects. :D

Well since they've got a new GM, I've heard that a Billy Butler and Alex Gordon for A-Ram and Hill deal is in the works...we can dream can't we?

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't that put him ahead of all minor league players?
