I went up to the Milwaukee Art Museum over the weekend for an exhibition that I was looking forward to.

In doing some of the research on how to get there, I found out that it was "Meet the Brewers" day at the Museum. About 12 Brewers players were going to be at the museum over the course of the day signing autographs and posing for pictures.

I get there and Damian Miller and Carlos Lee were the two signing. I thanked Damian for 2003 (He said what a great time it was for him and all the Cubs players) and told Carlos that the Cubs may need a LF next year. (He just smiled).

My point is this: if the Cubs did something similar, the line would be wrapped around until next Tuesday. I walked right in, didn't even wait in line and got to meet what arguably is the Brewers best player and their starting catcher.

For that sort of accessibility to players, I'm going to quietly root for the Brewers while still cheering on the Cubs.

Just thought I would share.

I believe that the Devil Rays have a day or days when the players greet you as you walk into the stadium. They have the players standing at different gates and talking with fans assuming you arrive early enough.

The Royals players will actually sit in the stands and help you fill out your scorecard. Tip them $5, and they'll let you bat for them.

I don't know how much help they would be. I could see the Royals player:

"What does 6-4-3 stand for?"

"Why did you write that K backwards?"

That might actually improve the team.
