Man, I'd be so much happier with Juan gone, Jones holding down CF, and a serious hitter in RF. Jones would be so much more valuable there, and it'd be that much less likely that Pie would get rushed.

 

I'm liking Jones right now, though it's hard not to like somebody who's red hot. I'm still concerned about his relatively poor OBP, but the SLG right now makes up for a lot of it.

Jacque Jones doesn't even play RF well so there's no way he could play CF. According to "The Fielding Bible" Jones ranked 24th out of 27 (Encarnacion rank 25th. :?) for RFers in the last 3 years.

Well, if we're giving up on the season and moving Jones there because we've dealt Pierre and gotten a bat for RF, then I'm okay with that. But beyond this lost cause of a season I really don't want to see Jones in CF for an extended period of time.

What's really too bad is that our coaching staff sucks so badly they couldn't pull any performance out of CPatt, who had plenty of natural talent. This caused the Cubs to give up on him, and then ship the farm to Florida for a piece of junk named Pierre.

Actually, Womack can be, and is, worse than Pierre in CF. He was absolutely wretched in center for the Yankees last year.
