Striking out against Rusch has bad side effects on the rest of the body. Parts just shut down in reponse.

Or he hurt something in his back in an unrelated fashion.

So apparently there wasn't a major incident which in effect caused a glaring injury.

Jones you are an idiot.

I can't blame him for that, he probably could have gotten in 3rd if he would have just slid, now looking at the replay.

Not a chance, he was out by 4 steps.

TT's right. Unless a tag was botched sliding wouldn't have made a difference.

Really? Mulder got the ball to Rolen in a hurry.

Rolen didn't get the ball until JJ was almost there. It's that he backed up that he got tagged. I really think if he slid in feet first he had a chance to make it. Now that I look back at it he shouldn't have taken off. But the ball came back so fast I can call this as bad of a blunder as getting picked off 2B.

Kind of sad that the only legitimate offensive threat for either team today are their third basemen.

How is Jones not a legitamite threat, he's killing the ball lately.

Jones with another baserunning blunder.

Shut up McCarver, he tried to go to third on a comebacker.

You never make the first out at third.....NEVER

You forgot we're playing Dustyball.
