since they're playing 2 in Peoria tonight, the first game is scheduled to begin at 6pm instead of 7 :) we were trying to figure out who might be pitching and were guessing Blackford, but don't know for sure...

Greenberg really hasn't been the same ever since that infamous HBP against the Marlins. It's a shame too...the kid seemed like a good kid and he was a pretty good player too. Hopefully he'll have good luck with whatever team picks him up.

 

Weber gave up 5 1st inning runs, but Daytona's offense got 3 of them back in the bottom half of the 1st. Jake Fox had an RBI double, which scored 2. 5-3 Fort Myers, bottom 2.

 

Peoria is scoreless through 2.

A shame about Greenberg being released. It's sad that his career seems to have been short-circuited by the beaning. I can see that psychologically it would be hard to come back from a beaning that hard. Hopefully he can get picked up by another organization and get his career back on track. :cry:
