These announcers are calling Baker on his stupidity. Marshall pry should have been lift for a Ph.

nah. got to let the kid get 7. dont want to kill our bullpen. we are only averaging 5.33 a start this season. going to catch up to us sooner or later.

If Baker was putting Sean on this short of a leash then he should have.

One extra out vs. a pinch hitter sure as hell wasn't worth the decision he made.

Why did Dusty let Marshall hit, if he was going to pull him after one batter? May have been nice to try for an extra run or two last inning, instead of giving up the free out. #-o

I don't ask the "why" question anymore.

Since that was the first pitch of his first Cards AB, can we say that he took a Greenberg to the dome?

Poor Greenberg. That guy is just not doing well in West Tenn.... :?

He wants to take the heat off his players when they blow this one

The Heat are crucifying the Pistons, btw.

Oh well, at least they have the Lions....err uhh the Tigers

BTW, good for Miami. They looked like they might not get out of the first round against the Bulls, but they have turned it on.

Funny, I'd argue that of all 3 teams they played, the Bulls played them the hardest

Technically two, but yeah that was stupid. He didn't reasonably expect Sean to get through the inning without yielding a baserunner did he?

i agree with the call. have to let marshall try to get 7.

but you dont want to let Pujols up with runners all over the place. had to have him on a short leash.

I don't particularly like the Heat, but a Pistons loss means we finally break the 20 year/5 team championship nonsense in the NBA.

Eckstein struck out swinging

What's that...his 3rd of the year??

speaking of which, wasn't Pierre advertised as one of those "rarely strikes out" guys. And doesn't he strike out like all the time now?

14th in 212 ABs.

More than what I thought he had.

Not to pour more salt on the wound, but did you know Nomah only has FIVE ks his his 130-150 ABs?? That's in addition to the ridiculous numbers he's puttting up this year.
