Your one of them who says "I hope we lose" can you tell me why you say that, and in my opinion i dont think it is sarcasm i really think you do want them to lose so they can fire Baker.

Why do you want them to win?

Their chances of making the playoffs are just a little better than 1 in 400 at this point.

Cubs management says it's too early to throw in the towel when they should be thinking about how to make this team better next year and the near future.

This season is already a lost cause. It's not pessimism. It's realism.

Check the simulations:

Personally, I am rooting for them to lose right now, and I'm not ashamed to say it. We will not win as long as the current management stays in place.

If the Cubs start winning some games now, they might finish in fourth or fifth place. If that's good enough for you, then I'm glad you're not the GM.

Well then your not a cub fan if you are "rooting" for them to lose. That does not make any sense. Yeah its a tuff time to watch them play, but that being said I will NEVER root for them to lose.

I went to 40 games last year. How many did you go to?

Don't tell me I'm not a Cubs fan.

I'm not trying to argue with you, but going to more games doesn't make you a bigger fan than someone else. I'm sure you are a big Cubs fan, or you wouldn't be on here. You have to realize that some people are more fortunate than others, and actually have a chance to attend 40 games in a season. Others don't live in Chicago or near another major league city, and therefore can't attend many games.

But I wasn't arguing that I was a bigger Cubs fan than you or anyone else.

I was simply responding to the claim that I'm not a Cubs fan.

I just started watching. Out of curiosity, how many walks have the Cubs taken today and how many have the Braves had?

2 walks for the Braves, 0 for the Cubs.

Zero & two, respectively

Good to see the Cubs are sticking to the game plan.

Nicely done by Fox for pulling a WGN and showing a lot of hotties.

I think that's all WGN should do from now on. Len and Bob can still announce the game so we know what's going on, but we won't be forced to watch the team.
