All this talk highlights the difficulty with trading Maddux. I was going to write a post elsewhere about why trading him would be a good idea, but if that would mean putting the Osprey Killer in the rotation, I can't get very enthusiastic.

 

Was there any reason to bring that up outside of draggin the guy through the mud for an immature act he's already been punished for? I'm curious as to what motivations a noob would have for bringing up something that happened 3 years ago that has no bearing on the current situation.

maybe he read the thread where hill was called a thin-skinned headcase (or the one where he was told to go to hell) and he just wanted to fit in w/ the rest of the board.

Their 10 days would be up by the next time that spot in the rotation comes around, wouldn't it?

 

Guzman, no. Ryu, yes, but he went to the pen when he went back to Iowa.

I think you have it backwards. Guzman went down before Ryu, therefore he'd be eligible to come back up earlier.

Whoops, you're right. I misread the transaction, I was looking at when Ryu was called up.
