Maddux as a Pitching Coach

Has he said anything either way on whether he has interest in becoming a pitching coach when he retires from the game?

If he is interested, then if I were making decisions, I would do anything necessary to keep him around or at least not tick him off. Although with the way the Cubs are going, they'll screw this up and he'll go to some other team.

Outside of a few HOFers, I can't think of a whole lot of people in this era that are millionaires many times over that moved straight into coaching from their big league career.

 

Not saying it can't happen, but it would surprise me if Maddux did it.
