Will Team Buddiga go the way of Greg Maddux ?

Game of the Week: Northside Baseball (4-1) @ Buddiga (5-0)

The Hand Sanitizers came up with a big victory over Northside to end their 33 game regular season win streak. Tim's team looks to get back on track and end the undefeated run for Buddiga. On paper, Northside holds the edge with their two top starters going twice. Only Cabrera goes twice for Buddiga.

The other big matchup has two 4-1 teams battling with the Lynx against HBC.

I'm reserving Sheff since he's day to day and might be DL'd. If he decides to play this week, I'll sub him back in at that time. Also, if Reyes gets recalled to the majors for Ponson, I'll probably sub him in for Ervin.

thats not really the idea of daily changes - its supposed to be for unforeseen changes.

Okay...which one? Can you tell me whether either Sheff or Reyes is going to play this week? If so, I'll adjust accordingly.

If you can't tell me whether or not they're going to play, it's unforseen, right?

I don't get it...because I'm thinking about the possibilities in advance, I can't make changes? But if I were cluelessly going about my business of managing my team and suddenly heard an announcement about Reyes making a spot start, then I could throw him into the lineup since it wasn't thought about in advance?

And why let anyone make changes on a guy with a day to day injury if I can't do it with Sheff's condition? I guess I don't see how this is different from any number of other moves people have made so far this year on guys who are day to day.

Whatever. I'll just go with Lopez and Santana this week, I guess.

Nobody is supposed to sub a pitcher that gets called up unless another starter gets hurt. You are supposed to set your lineup sunday and unless someone gets hurt, you leave it alone. I don't care though -do whatever you want -

I reserved Winn and activated Everett because Winn injured his knee and left last night's game; he's day-to-day. Hopefully for the Cubs he'll at least miss the next three games. :D

Arg .. the injury bug has struck. My staff ace, Contreras may need to go on the 15 day DL. If so I will replace him with McCarthy tomorrow.

BTW - Does CBS have something against me??? Why am I listed so far down in the standings?

If a player is serving a suspension and I have no reserve player to fill the position, can I pickup someone and place the suspended player on the injured list ?

As you might tell, I'm reaching for any points I can get this week...

As I posted earlier, I swapped Winn out and Everett in because Winn was reportedly day-to-day with a knee injury. As we know all too well from tonight's Cubs game, Winn didn't miss any time. Can I swap them back, or do I need to keep Winn reserved for the rest of the week?

didn't think so. now, the marlins decide to move willis up in the rotation to face Hudson and the Braves rather than get another day's rest and mow down the Pirates...

anybody know when teixeira turned into a poor man's sean casey?

.264/.356/.441

i was kinda expecting him to be outscoring jay gibbons and phil nevin at this point.

wow, someone at cbs is cranky...

Analysis: Barrett is a middle-of-the-road catcher who is a decent starter in NL-only leagues but that's about it.

ouch. strong words for a guy that's missed time and is still the seventh highest scoring catcher in the game.

I think those comments apply to four team leagues or something.

Hey Adam,

You're actually allowed to use 5 SP's. ;)

Of course, all the pitchers in baseball are afraid of you picking them up for your team and ruining their careers. You must be harder on pitchers than Dusty.
