Guzman was getting hammered in AAA before they brought him up - this is another case of bringing up a prospect who simply isn't ready yet. I don't blame Guzman - I blame Wood and Prior who have both spent the majority of their careers on the DL.

I blame not shutting down Wood last season.

BOTTOM OF THE FOURTH INNING

 

Bowen grounded an IF single to third

Bowen took second on a wild pitch

Greene doubled off the wall in left center field, Bowen scored

Gonzalez walked

Johnson struck out swinging

Williams sacrificed to the pitcher, 1-4, Greene to third, Gonzalez to second

Roberts grounded out to second, 4-3

 

1 runs, 2 hits, 0 errors, 2 men left on base

In retrospect, that is looking like the dumb move we all thought is was when they were letting him pitch out of the pen. Pity management wasn't bright enough to figure out what we could.

Can we trade Guzman for Dunn now? Or was that Hill for Dunn? I'll trade both and Bynum for Dunn and Harang!

Groupies......I bet they've seen "Bull Durham". Currently they are each helping Kahlil Greene with his swing. Since he hit it off the wall it seems to be working.
