Marshall looked great, he gets better every start. Wilson clearly should have been called out, I had a perfect view of the play. Another save from the most underrated closer in baseball and probably the best in the NL. And Murton, well, he's the straw that stirs the drink.

I couldn't agree with you more. Marshall has been our second best pitcher so far this year.

Recently the umps have been making bad/rude calls against the Cubs. So there MIGHT be some credence to jjigman theory.

They really ought to implement instant replay with a challenge system in MLB... give each manager a couple challenges a game (for everything except strike calls). It's not like there's not a ton of stalling already, so a couple minutes here and there is going to have little effect and they'd actually get the calls right.

 

Heck, it probably wouldn't take much longer than when the managers come out and argue on the field for minutes right now.
