Bruce's article:

The questions included suggestions that Maddux was cheating somehow. Cardinals outfielder Jim Edmonds asked the umpires to check the baseballs for evidence.

I really want to see a ball crack right into his ribs that piece of crap.

Now you've done it...K-Town will now spend a week defending Edmonds' actions as well as Pujols'...

Is this news?

It was obvious that Edmonds had asked him to check the ball. I thought LaRussa might have also asked, but Edmonds clearly was the first to ask.

I knew two people asked to do it, I didn't know Maybelline was the first. Besides it will allow us to direct all the Neifi hate on Prima Donna for a little bit.

Typical Jim Edmonds. I might have known. There's a reason the Angels dumped him (and then went on to win a World Series without him, by the way).

They just got sick of dealing with his B.S. Lucky for Edmonds, he found a kindred spirit in Tony LaRussa so all is well.

Jim Edmonds should spend a little more time checking his bat. There might be a whole in it. I forgot his number in history but he's in the top five for strikeouts since 2000. By the way, that's his "prime" years.

First off, I really don't like Edmonds - he's one of my least favorite baseball players out there. I think he's unnecessarily arrogant and an enormous jerk. But none of that, nor his strikeout numbers since 2000, change the fact that he's been extremely productive over that time.

He's still a tool, though. And accusing Maddux of cheating was totally classless.
