Well, if you think this team is gonna play alright the next few weeks+, I understand that and wish I was as optimistic. I think the current roster is good enough to win 40% of their games. If Wood, Prior and Miller were coming back soon, I'd agree with you about waiting to see what happens.

 

I think if they can get over the initial shock of DLee going down, they'll be ok. Start Hairston at 2nd, Walker at 1st, and you should be ok. That lineup doesn't have a lot of power, but it could drive you crazy with Pierre/Hairston/Walker or Pierre/Cedeno/Walker as your top 3. Speed and contact the first 3 batters setting the table for Aram, Barrett, and Murton, with Ronny Cedeno/Jerry Hairston down at the bottom hitting like crazy and wreaking havoc with his speed. We'd be ok if the pitching held up.

The Cubs beat STL and Houston in the season series last year and had major problems with bad teams. I'm not sure how good a thing that the easy schedule really is.
