Pie being brought up?

If this injury had occurred in late June the Cubs would have been a lot more likely to call up Pie. Later in the season it won't really hurt Pie that much to ride the bench in the majors for two weeks but right now they probably don't want to interrupt his good start to the season. That's what they did with Cedeno and Murton and it didn't seem to hurt either of them.

 

Aardsma's promotion also seems to indicate that Jones will be playing again soon. Whether or not that's a good thing is still up for debate.

I fear that Jones will soon become one of Dusty's toys, as he starts becomming an unproductive veteren, the type of guys Dusty likes

Can Murton play 1st while DLee is out? If so, I would consider bringing up Pie to play LF and moving Murton to 1B for the next 8-10 weeks.

Sadly, this thread was made during happier days (before the Dlee injury), and this thread was about replacing Pagan. It had nothing to do with replacing Dlee. :cry:
