Keith Ginter was among the 33 players the Oakland A's brought to the Bay Area this weekend to close out exhibition season. He was in competition with Mark Ellis and Marco Scutaro for the second base job last season, but he struggled in the competition.

Analysis: Ginter has a guaranteed $1.4 million contract and will spent most or all of this season at Triple-A Sacramento. He warrants no real consideration in AL leagues at this point.

fair play to the a's for understanding sunk costs, though.

I'd go to Sacramento to play baseball for 1.4 million.

Sadly, no one is offering to help me out
