'06 Predictions Contest / HR Derby: Discussion & Updates

Entrants in RED had errors corrected.

 

Errors included wrong players, duplicate players, and Excel forumula errors. Hopefully everything is fixed now. If you notice a descrepency, please let me know ASAP.

 

I checked everything over with my spreadsheet and it looks like we're on the same page now. I found 5 errors, 2 of which were on my end. I think you're short a home run for three people, but it happens that the three people you're short on are the three people who have Jason Varitek, so I'm guessing you just didn't add in his HR from last night. Otherwise, I think our spreadsheets match up now.

Me and the guy who has been following right behind me for quite some time have the same A-group hitter (A-Rod), the same two B-group hitters (Dunn & Pujols), two of the same C-group hitters (Bay & Delgado) and the same Bonus hitter (Thome). So between me and him, it comes down to:

The Pujols injury is going to do a number on a lot of participants (unfortunately, myself included). At least I'm not looking too bad for showing some faith in Jacque Jones in group D.

Fortunately for me, most of the people who opted for someone other than Pujols are pretty far behind.

 

Jones was a safe pick. You generally know what you're going get from him, which is 20-25 HRs. I went with riskier picks like Swisher and Gomes, which have paid off big time so far - but also Huff, who hasn't returned to his former self, although he's shown some signs of life the last week or two.
