please clarify rule 3 - does that mean once a player is off the minor league roster, he starts using exemption years? what you'll find is this is very hard to keep track of. or are you saying a player cannot be used in the majors until he loses his ROY elgiibility - which would make no sense.

This is just for the keeper status - I mean that players who are not yet using their three exempt years have to be put on the minor league roster during the offseason. I am trying to prevent someone from loading up their team with prospects heading into the offseason since there are no limits on how many players can be kept on the major league roster (only points).

I am confused. Does this mean that the only players that we can keep on our minor league roster are actual minor leaguers?

My Team currently has several MLB options for me to alther my lineup with.

You can keep someone on your minor league roster if they:

1.) are currently playing in the minors (on a non-injury rehab)

2.) have not yet exceeded the rookie qualifications (ie - less than 130 AB's or 50 IP)

Just to be sure, wouldn't Anthony Reyes of the Cards be on that list with one year used? Or has he not used any of his years because his 13 IP were not sufficient to remove his rookie eligibility?

Yeah, Reyes has used 1 year too.

no, I don't think he has. in this league, you don't start elgiibility until you lose your rookie status, at least thats how I read the rules.

Are we going to have a DL? I have Wood right now, but I don't want to burn a bench spot with him right now either.... :P

We could have a DL, but then I'd want to reduce the bench spots from six.

6.) Starting pitchers have to be used in starters slots and relievers have to be used in relievers slots. If a reliever gets a start while pitching from a relief spot those points will be removed. For example, even though Wood is eligible at RP, he cannot be used in that slot while starting.

Does this happen automatically or do we have to notify somebody? I hate to nark, but Banedon has Mitre in a reliever's spot and he's having a good game today. ;)

1.) You can keep as many players on your roster from year to year as you like, but you cannot exceed 1800 points carry over

Tim:

On the total points, do we count points earned from another team if I traded for that player or do I just count points earned as a member of my team.

Thanks.

It's total points for that player (select MLB instead of Fantasy on the drop down on the stats page). Otherwise people could just trade a bunch of players at the end of the year and keep everyone.

Thank you - that clarifies it.

What happens to players that do not get kept - the league does a re-draft for those players?
