Cruz is the only one of the three that would possibly make this team, and after the year he had last year, that's a big gamble.

I'd take a healthy Novoa over Cruz, and I'd take Mabry over Choi. Novoa has more power and endurance, plus he's slightly younger. Cruz doesn't even have a defined position which hurts him IMO. Mabry over Choi is simply because of Mabry's versatility. I'd take Choi as a hitter, but since Mabry can play OF, 1b, and 3b he gets the overall nod.

So I assume you would take Hill over Perez as well. Why not take Choi and Mabry and cut Grissom. When I was in ST, Grissom looked pretty bad in LF, I'm sure Mabry can at least match his OF play. I take Cruz over Wellemeyer and Novoa because he can start and that is exactly where I would put him once we need a 5th stater.
