Seriously..I burned my finger on the heating element of my dish washer two days ago. The range of motion in my left index finger is very limited, but I'm going to do some soft typing with a sock over my hand for the remainder of this week. This was a freak injiry, IMO....shouldn't be considered injury prone just yet.

Yeah, I've had some random freak injuries lately too, but would two of them be considered injury prone? I burned my hand in December when a heat pack exploded onto me. And just the other day, I fainted while sitting down in a meeting at work and fell to the ground, getting a concussion and a nice gash as I hit a chair along the way.

But I can't beat Novoa or Aramis's injuries.

I hit my knee on the coffee table pretty hard the other day.

And my arm was a little sore last week after throwing at the ESPNZone speedpitch thing. (Which by the way is so cool, even though Griffey took me yard.)

You do know that thing's rigged, right? They'll take you deep on the 3rd pitch every single time. My friend threw it at Barry's head and he still went yard. (Although knowing what he puts in his body, that's not entirely illogical...)

Updating earlier reports, NSBB forum doctor Tommy John has announced that Fred is scheduled to start a simulated thread within the next two weeks.

That is if he has no pain doing the towel drill. One step at a time.

And if both of those steps go well he'll be sent to the cubs.com board on a rehabilitation assignment. :D
