Eyre works a scoreless fourth. Cubs don't score in their half. In the fifth, Brownlie comes in to pitch. Laird triples off the hitter's background in center. Arias hits a sac fly. Wilkerson flies out. Brown lays down a bunt single. Blalock flies out. 2-1 Cubs.

Anyone know how this World Classic works? If Valenzula loses today do they go home?

Fernando?

Round robin in each pool. Two wins advances to the next round.

I see cool! Thanks!

not necessarily. you could have three teams go 2-1, in which case one of them goes home. the top two advance.

Is his velocity still down or has it started to pick back up again?

Brian Boehringer has given up solo shots to Nevin and Dellucci in the 6th, score is now 3-2 Texas.

Boehringer needs to have a WHIP of under 1 if he wants to make this team this spring.

Even if he does that, he has no chance of making this team.

Bruce, how did Guzman look yesterday i.e. location, velocity, etc?

Fair to good on all counts. He'll need some starts at Iowa.

Thanks Bruce!

Was he out of baseball last year? If so there is no way he makes the team outta ST. He's destined for the waiver wire or AAA.

Maybe. I'm sure the injury bug will hit someone before Opening Day and a spot will open up.

That spot will likely go to either Novoa or Ohman, whoever doesn't make the team otherwise.

Who's winning?

The Bears.

Beautiful.

I told Adam (EightyTwo), "I guarantee someone will post the Bears." It's not like he thought of that on his own.
