Harry Caray's restuarant will be offering a 'Milo' or "Cheap Shot and Sour Grapes' on Thursday(8th anniversary of Hartry's passing). For $.25, you get a 2 ounce shot of beer and a side of sour grapes.

Harry will remain beloved for decades to come while Hamilton will merely be the answer to a trivia question if remembered at all.

Harry made people happy. Milo makes people angry.

I have some fond memories of Milo but man he's completely useless now. They both were/are horrid announcers at the end of their careers but their egos wouldn't/won't let them walk away. I don't really understand their rivalry and honestly I don't want to. I just want quality broadcasting when I'm listening to a game. Milo is as incapable now as Harry was in the tail end of his career. Why don't people like to go out on top?

Milo[/url]"]I see that statue every time the Astros visit Wrigley Field as our bus pulls up to the park. I say to myself, 'I gotta go get some peanuts and feed the pigeons so they'll fly over the statue all day.'

Milo is a miserable bastard.

My short-lived October truce with Houston is over.

The Milo situation doesn't make me hate the Astros any more or less.

I don't think it was any big secret that Harry ran Milo out of town, he also ran Josh Lewin out of town too. Harry was setting it up for Chip and you can't blame him for taking care of his own. If Milo is so bitter it should be directed at WGN/Cubs brass for letting Harry call the shots. I have heard a lot of stories about how vindictive Harry could be, he was not always the jovial beloved drunk that was on the air. Milo should probably pick his battles, but I'm sure the controversy is helping to sell books, and isn't that what it is all about.

Stone's comment on this story was dripping with not-so-veiled sarcasm:

(paraphrase) "They both got what they wanted. Harry is beloved in Chicago and the world over. Milo is beloved in Houston."
