Anyone really know how this is gonna work? I could see the thing getting very crowded considering the number of Cubs fans and the size of the stadium...especially during something like the playoffs.

I was looking for some background info with the only other park I know that has one of these: SBC Park in San Fran.

Here are a couple of photos:

It looks like there's a safety bar or something prevented them from getting all the way to the screen. That's not a bad idea so people don't get mashed against said screen.

Also, on the websites it says they 'clear' everyone out after 3 innings, and allow new people in at that point. It also said that people either bring folding chairs or stand. But then, the "knot hole" in SBC Park stretches across their RF, and we only have one.

Do you think Cubs fans will be allowed into a room-type thing like in SBC park or do you think they'll have it screened off to the sidewalk?

Anyone able to find more pictures of what these things look like?

I read that people won't be able to get all the way fence, but be about 5 or 10 feet away. I like the idea as long as they clear people away so every can get a turn. Bleedcubbieblues sight has some good pictues of the area.

I hope this doesn't block foot traffic through the area with all the people tied up waiting in line to see the knot hole.

What I don't get is why the Cubs are attempting to make historical quirky things when they already have the real thing that other ballparks try to emulate all the time

Great point. I don't quite understand it either. I'm walking away if they put a flag pole on a 8 foot mound in the middle of centerfield.
