Greetings all. I wanted to see what type of interest there would be in a night for as many NSBB members to meet up and enjoy a Jaxx game. Everyone is encouraged to give your thoughts as well as possible dates that you could attend.

Here's the 2006 Southern League schedule

You can count two in, depending on scheduling. Weekend would obviously be best and in the second half. May won't work for me (but if it works for everyone else, I'll understand).

I'm hoping to get to each and every minor league team this year as I've been building up quite a few free tickets with all my travelling lately. Given our relationship with the Jaxx, I would like to get there several times this year. I'll probably try to do the first weekend homestand in late April, then something mid-season and late-season.

I'd like to, but it's just too far away for me.

I was in your (temporary) hometown earlier today. How you enjoying it?

I'm up for it. I could probably do it any time. DJAXXFAN, what are they building there next to it?? I saw where they are clearing out some land when I came off the exit yesterday.

No promises, but let me know the date(s)and I'll work something out with BeerWife. It's tough with grad school and I already have tickets to each Chiefs/Cougars series this year (woo front row for each!). We actually have an uncle in Jackson so I think we have a place to stay.

I've never been to a DJaxx game despite several visits to the uncle mentioned above. I'd love to go and BeerWife enjoys minor league games more than Wrigley.

They're in the process of building a baseball/softball complex. It's my understanding that it's a 15 or 16 field sportsplex with Pringles Park being the crown jewel. I'm wanting to say that it's being sponsored by West Tennessee Healthcare. I can't wait to see it when it's finished.

Tim and others-

Let me know if and when you are going to be in the area (Des Moines). I'll see what I can work out with my busy teacher schedule in the summer.

As for the Tennessee trip...doubtful.

Any interest in an I-Cubs trip?

I would love to make it, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it this year. I have to look over my schedule and see if there's a possibility.

i'm definately up for it, dates dont matter much so long as i have a little warning as to when, although i must say weekends are better for me

Fantastic. I sent you a PM about it.

I know I'll make some Chiefs games this year, but I think it'd be a lot of fun to make the Tennesse trip. We'll have to see how the summer goes... :)

Rather than a one shot NSBB Night at Pringles Park, we're going to attempt to have more than one night during the season for the NSBB crew to meet up at a Jaxx game.

NSBB Night at Pringles Park #1 will take place on Friday, April 28th, at 7:05 p.m. as the Jaxx host the Jacksonville Suns. As if a great night of Jaxx baseball isn't enough, the night will feature a Shirt Off Our Back Cubs Scout Jersey Auction as well as the Rhodes Phillips Free Gas Friday. As part of the promotion, ten fans will receive $100 in free gas from Rhodes Phillips 66.

And as if all of that is not enough, Tim will be at the game, where he will hopefully have the opportunity to be a guest in the booth with "The Voice of the Diamond Jaxx", Ron Potesta!

In regards to tickets for the game, we need to discuss where everyone would like to sit at the game. If you plan to attend the game, be sure to post not only that you plan to be there, but where you would like to sit.

I can't make the game, but will you still bid on a jersey for me again? That worked out really well for me last time. :)
