I heard that if Griese had played his career with the Bears and had the same stats he does now he would be the best QB in Bears history.

that is truly sad

Apparently Azumah is expected to announce his retirement tomorrow. I just assumed he was going into free agency.
What???? Wow. That's crazy. I guess all those injuries are taking a toll on his body.

He's retiring b/c his hip isn't doing any better. Could've made a decent chunk of change.

Statistically speaking that's true. His QB rating is higher than any Bear QB in history (including Sid Luckman). That just shows that QB rating doesn't tell the whole story.

It also highlights the pathetic string of QBs the Bears have had in their history.

Vikings sign Mike McMahon to backup Brad Johnson. Do the Bears have the best QB situation in their division?

Bears: Rex, Griese, Orton

Packers: Favre (Maybe), Rogers

Lions: Kitna, McCown

Vikings: Johnson, McMahon

It's always hard to tell, but next year is shaping up well for the Bears in this division. 3 new head coaches. We have the best D in the Division. I would take our RB situation over any other team in the Division. I would take our QB's over any other team in the division. Hopefully in the draft and the rest of free agency we can get a play-making tight end and some depth in the secondary.

Three straight road games in Weeks 10-12? That's a pretty rough stretch. What the hell are the Cardinals doing on MNF?

Probably to show off their new stadium, but still. At least there's one nationally televised game at Soldier Field.

The cardinals might not be the best team but they are headed in the right direction and have a dynamic offense, especially now with Edge there. I would like to see them.
