Troy Smith makes some really poor decisions, he's lucky he's got Ginn and Holmes to cover them up. OSU could be up by 4 TDs otherwise.

I dont fault him for the fumble he had trying to avoid the sack. The lateral to Ginn was awful. Take that away and the dude is flat out rockn the irish both in the air and on the ground.

I wish the NFL adopted the same rules as far as endzone celebrations as the NCAA does.

that was a ridiculous call - 15 yards for putting your hand in the air? Thank goodness the NFL doesn't have such absurdly limiting rules.

ND is very luck to not be down three or four touchdowns.

I liked it, but I'm very old fashioned when it comes to stuff like that. It was a taunt and got the flag, in the NFL he would've had to turn around and point, much stricter in the NCAAs. I'm glad for that.

Second..

NONONONONONONONONO

chad johnson is amazing, and everytime they tone him down, theyre making a mistake

If it means getting rid of the bad dances and copy cats and well as the clown acts like TO and Horn have demonstrated over the past few years, I can live w/out Johnson. Although, I enjoy his. Watching Driver of GB pretty much sealed the deal. 4-12 and he acting like he's king of the world b/c he caught a 7yd slant pattern for a 1st down.

How about all players except Chad get a penalty if they celebrate? Chad gets free reign as long as they are funny.

Eh, I think the first fumble was dumb too, but the second one was just inexcusable. For the most part, he's made good throws and when nothing was working, made good runs. But he's tried to force two throws that I've counted and coughed the ball up twice.

EDIT: He doesn't need to force things like he did in those plays is what I'm trying to say.

exactly, its subjective and stupid. if you want to improve the game, start throwing flags for all the talking between plays. This is far worse than celebrating a great play.

There are going to be players who will try and get away w/as much as he can, I want to lower what they can away with.

I agree they should flag the in-game talking just as much as the in-game celebrations.

What Johnson does is in no way comparable to what was just flagged. A penalty for putting your finger up is just stupid.

If a penalty like that is part of being strict towards taunting or excessive celebtration, so be it. Perosnally, I don't think was taunting or excessive, but if calls like that occur in the process, I'll take that call over what occurs overall.

Which method do you prefer? The way the NCAA handles taunting/excessive celebration or the NFL?

It would be nice if NCAA refs didn't throw flags for necessary dives into the endzone. They need to think about those penalties for a few seconds instead of throwing flags right away.

"If I'm AJ, I don't think I'm gonna hook up with her tonight."

Thanks for the in-depth reporting, ABC.

I'm glad we now know Troy Smith's opinion on AJ Hawk dating Brady Quinn's sister. I hope we can get Smardzja and Ginn's opinion too. Maybe a ballboy or two.

I'm hoping to hear from tony hawk.
