A shortstop who richly deserves to become a charter member of any new hall of fame for overrated players, DiSarcina had an unbelievably good reputation despite his balsa-wood bat and his undistinguished glove. If he gets a single vote for the Hall, the commissioner should launch an immediate investigation.
