prior is a FA after 06. if thats the case, how is he making less than Z? i guess i dont understand the progression from cheap years/arby years/FA eligibility, and how that can be circumvented.

When Prior was drafted, he signed a major league contract that guaranteed him that kind of money. Had he sucked and never made it, he still would be making that this year.

He forfieted many of his arbitration years for the security of a guaranteed deal. Players like Zambrano didn't do that.

Mark Prior won't be a free agent until after the 2008 season at the earliest. When his current deal expires after 2006, he will be arbitration eligible.

i dont know about that. Last year in texas he had an off year where as other 2B's had good years. I think in Washington this year he will be back to his normal self. And as for the rest of the 2B's...they will go back to how they were previously

why? texas is a great hitters park and washington is a horrid abyss where good hitters go to die.

well yes, but he felt like he wasnt a good player in texas, after the yankees said adios, now the nationals WANT him to be there, so he will preform like he did as a yankee.

But that's why they play the game

all i was saying is that now in Washington he feels wanted again, and will hopefully preform upto his pontential. Unfortunatley none of us know if he will ever play at that level again.

hopefully i got across what i am trying to say this time
