  1. Take it for what's it's worth. I'm listening to the Score right now and according to their "sources" The player only meeting they had was talking about Lou and how none of the players like him. The only guy sticking up for Lou was Lee. Also, the meeting they had with Hendry, Lou, and president was pretty much Lou firing at Hendry regarding the current roster.
  2. Tank Johnson suspended for 8 games with the ability for suspension to be reduced per the score.
  3. I expect Pie to be in the line-up today. Hitting 2nd, 8th, doesn't matter. Just in the line-up. I just wonder who goes when Ward comes back. I'm hoping that Jones does but we'll see.
  4. So who goes? Murton, Floyd, Ward or Jones? I don't think Ward is going.
  5. I wouldn't say an abundance of RFer's, mostly LFers haha.
  6. Baker never called out these guys and that didn't make a lick of difference. Now we have Lou calling out these guys and that doesn't seem to make a difference either. I think the roster has a lot of knuckleheads. The sooner we get rid of the extra weight, the better off we are going to be. If Z has any value left, trade him, I don't see him turning it around any time soon either.
  7. I wouldn't be surprised. First of all, Colletti is stupid. Remember what he gave up to get Baez early in the year last year, what he gave up to get Lugo at the deadline, and what he was rumored to be willing to give Hendry for Maddux. Kemp isn't with the big league club, and Pierre and Ethier are blocking 2/3rds of the OF for the forseeable future. Murton gives them a RH bat off the bench for their all LH outfield, and a possible replacement for LuGo. Billingsley is a good arm, but he's being used in middle relief, and is behind Broxton and Saito in the bullpen pecking order. They're adding Zambrano so they obviously take that trade-off rotation wise. Obviously an objective evaluation shows that trade isn't worth it, but considering the Dodger situation and Colletti's incompetence, I would call it far from impossible or implausible. I do see your point. I thought that Billingsley would soon take over the 5th starter role but they have Schmidt coming back, moved Tomko to the bullpen and have Kuo as 5th starter now. I would love this trade btw. Billingsley is nasty and Ethier has potential.
  8. He was on ESPN 1000 this morning on Mike and Mike and said he thinks that Lou has already lost his team because he called them out publicly and what not. What do you guys think? I personally do not think he has, I just think our roster has guys on there that are prone to making mental mistakes.
  9. No way do you get Kemp and Billingsley for Murton and Z. No way.
  10. Hey man, as long as he isn't in the lineup. 5RBI from your starting SS is pathetic.
  11. Good to see Pie starting and Izturis out of the lineup. Now if we can only get rid of Jones..
  12. Our worse than the Nationals, just wow.
  13. Let's hope this time it's for good. And let's hope when either Ward, Murton or Floyd come back from the DL (don't know which one) That Jones is finally a goner.
  14. ha ha ha ha that was great. Wow, i didn't watch the game but that was great seeing Lou snap, I hope we see it more often. Looks like the bullpen let us down again.
  15. I'm pretty sure Pie could easily outproduce Jones offensively right now. Jones has done nothing this year. He's a waste of a roster space. Totally agree with you.
  16. Don't be ridiculous. There is no end to the ways the worst organization in the history of human civilization can embarass itself and its fans. The next step...players fighting fans. I'm sure that's happened before. Do you remember that Dodgers game about 8 years ago? http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=1927560
  17. I agree with 1 and 2. I'm not convinced Barrett needs to go yet but I could care less one way or another. Izturis also needs to go. The double play machine that he is. The guy is our starting SS and only has 5 rbi!?! He needs to go.
  18. 100m can go very far when used properly. Jimbo just isn't a good GM, he's currently one of the worst and can't construct a team to save his own job. The fact that he is still here is just amazing. He would be long gone if this organization wasn't so incompetent. I really want to thank you for clearing that up for me. I really was wondering why we get so little return for our investment, you know. [/sarcasm] You're welcome.

  20. 21. Jesus, either Zambrano is a way superior fighter, or the more likely case, Barrett went in the clubhouse to make amends and Z ambushed him. That was my thought all along. If Barrett really wanted to fight, I think he probably could have dealt some damage. I know that he was big into some type of martial arts so I'm sure he's not a complete pushover. I don't know. Z is a monster and by looking at the vid that was posted on here and on chicagosports.com Barrett didn't want a piece of Z. Z is one scary dude and Barrett is no pushover but if I were to guess Z wins hands down.
  22. I disagree. Z's best years are behind him. Contract negotiations have nothing to do with his loss of velocity. He clearly isn't the same pitcher and every year he loses a bit more of his fastball.
