  1. Good thing Lou used our better pitchers instead of the useless one(Eyre)
  2. I don't know what to think about the Bulls draft. To be honest I didn't know most of the players. One person I didn't want for us to draft was Noah but it happened. I've never seen the guy play but it was more of his attitude and his stupid look which is a stupid reason if the guy has talent. The way I see it is I'd rather have Noah on this team instead of Sweetney.
  3. I was thinking the same thing. They both are players who want the ball inside to score. Another genius move by the best GM in all of sports.
  4. Marmol for Hernandez? No way.
  5. Guzman didn't have surgery right? This is from Rotoworld: The Cubs were discussing removing Ryan Dempster from the closer's role in May, but the plan was scrapped when their preferred replacement, Angel Guzman, was lost to the disabled list. Now, Dempster himself is on the disabled list with a strained left oblique and won't be back until after the All-Star break. It'd be a natural opportunity for Guzman to step in, but he's still recovering from surgery and is at least a month away.
  6. It's hard to tell. Lou has brought Howry in 3 times and Marmol twice. And Ohman once. Bullpen by committee. Ohman was only in there because Marmol was having a rough day. If Marmol would have had a 1-2-3 inning, Ohman woudn't have pitched. Ohman was in because a tough lefty was the tying run. It had little to do with Marmol's performance. I had no problem with the move at all. Marmol was fine but Ohman does very well against lefties. .182BAA
  7. I just hope that he doesn't get suspended before the Brewers series as that will hurt our team in an important series.
  8. He might not be if they decide to go with Durant over Oden which seems like a possibility.
  9. Not as nice. Generally around a 275/330/360 line, OPS around 690-700. That's about what I'd expect... a little better than he's done this year, but nowhere close to 2006. Still an improvement over Izturis though. Thanks for the info.
  10. Solid numbers for a 2B. Do you have the pecota numbers for Theriot by any chance?
  11. Amazing what a few wins can do about your impression of the team! I think what makes more positive about this team is not having Izturis and Jones in the lineup. Addition by subtraction. DeRo has started to hit much better as of late too.
  12. I'm starting to really enjoy watching this team. No Jones, No Izturis, no problem.
  13. 98mph from Petrick. Wow, I didn't know this guy had an arm like this.
  14. Affeldt has been good. He always was just couldn't stay healthy with the Royals.
  15. Wow this kid looks good! He def has the velocity too.
  16. DeRo has been good for us. Props to Hendry for signing him.
