    Pretty simple. Look @ what Prior and Wood did in 2003 compared to this year. There's more to it than that.

    Same thing as last year. Nothing has changed. It was a circus last year and still is today.

    Walker did mention a few things on radio. I personally have heard him say things pertaining to chip and stone.

    Contrary to popular belief, Neifi hasn't had a horrendous season. Sorry. Not horrendous, but he's not exactly lighting it up either. I rather have Cedeno starting over Perez. Why not start Cedeno? He is going to be the future anyways and he has been playing very good for us.

    You are delusional if you think Baker doesnt have a bias towards veterans. All season has proved that he would do almost anything in his power to show that indeed he would prefer the vets to play over the rookies. Even when Cedeno was tearing it up in the minors did he get sent up and ride the pine while the Cubs hero Neifi was playing and starting at SS almost everyday. ANd that's only one example. Let's not forget how Dubois clearly outhit Holla during spring training and yet he still was benched in favor of Holla who was downright awful for us this year.

    If I remember correctly, Murton was actually supposed to go to the Twins. Him being on the Cubs apparently was an oversight by someone. This is how it went.. The prospect was supposed to go to the Expos but the GM at the time did not want Murton who was being thrown in by Epstein. Since that was the case Hendry sent BHarris to the Expos and we received Murton from the RSox instead.

    Drew's played 72 games this year. Probably just more wasted money. Nearly half the budget for this year was tied up in Sosa, Nomar, Wood, Hawkins and Remlinger. The Cubs got very little production from half it's budget. Fortunately, 3 of the 5 are gone next year. The Cubs should deal off Wood and let Nomar walk. With the way Nomar's swinging the bat of late, some team will give him an idiot deal. Given how much money the Cubs will have available for next season, they should have a much better season. Drew got hurt by getting hit by a ball. Nobody can expect that. You are assuming that the Cubs will have a 100mil payroll again. There could be a chance that will not happen. Why would they cut payroll?? The Tribs raking it in as usual and they have to save their beloved Dusty somehow. I heard the interview with MacPhail on the score and he didnt seem so confident about having a 100mil payroll again. All I am saying is do not be surprised if we do not hit the 100mil mark.

    No way. Burnett is legit. Pavano and Wright were one-hit wonders but Burnett is a legit pitcher.

    It will be interesting to see if the Cubs even hit 100mil payroll again. MacPhail didn't sound too confident of that when he was interviewed to we shall see.
