  1. Awesome work, Ensberg. Worthless.
  2. "Its called hitting, not walking, dude."
  3. When did Kenny Williams turn into Walt Jocketty? All the crappy players he signs turn into gold (in da postseason). Ridiculous. And Astacio is throwing BP here. Terrible performance.
  4. You have gotta be kidding me.
  5. I must say, Konerko is one slow mofo.
  6. Numbers say otherwise, but I'd wanna face Morgan Ensberg in a pressure situation. He's freaking awful.
  7. Oswalt nasty through one. Seemed like about 15 or so pitches.
  8. Maybe, but it would be Wrigley, not cookie cutter. They're crying about Busch freaking Stadium, one of the plagues of the 60/70's era of crappy ballparks. But its tradition man! I saw Bo Hart make a diving stab up the middle that my ancestors would have been PROUD of. He got out Jason Kendall and the best fans in baseball around me gave him a standing ovation! Its just tradition, man!
  9. Just curious, but why would you say "you guys" if your handle is Cubs/Sox fan?
  10. You've gotta come up with a dubya, man.
  11. I haven't watched the news, listen to the Snore, or read the newspaper in two weeks. Its horrid.
  12. How drunk were they? That is embarassing
  13. This just seems like a knee jerk reaction to me. I always hate trading the best player in a deal, which Moss is in this instance, imo. By the end of the year, Bell might be running all over bad AFC West defenses, and Moss should be healthy and putting up huge numbers (Td's mainly as well). Jordan is a strong back, but I'm still not all that enthralled with Byron Leftwich (who I still believe will be a tremendous quarterback).
  14. Your team is really good. I would try and package Shaq however. Get a top flight center (or if Dirk/Bosh qualifies for C in your league, all the better). Shaq is a huge difference maker in reality, but in fantasy, he kills you in FT percentage and durability, and isn't the rebounding force he once was. I'd try and get another 20/10 guy (the other O' Neal) at the very least. Leach off Shaq's big name.
  15. Are the Rays going to move Huff to first? That'd seem like the wise move to me. Crawford Lugo Young Gomes Cantu Huff Upton Baldelli Hall That was done very quickly off the top of my head, but that is a helluva lot of great young hitting talent.
  16. I doubt the Reds want another guy capable of allowing 40 home runs in that band box. Especially for 6 million. I think they learned their lesson with Eric Milton.
  17. Horn is most likely going to be out this week. I think the matchup against the bench might limit his touches. Of course, this was written a MONTH ago when Horn wasn't dealing with Hamstring issues.
  18. It is what I would do.
  19. How is A-rod a better fantasy player? Pujols has nearly 100 points of OPS over him, over the last 3 years. Pujols is a better baserunner than A-rod, also. Pujols regularly is among the league leaders in runs scored, and was a more successful base stealer than A-rod in 2005. Unless you place ALOT of value on A-rod's defense at third base, then Pujols is easily the best player. Furthermore, he's younger and his contract isn't an albatross. In fantasy, you usually get points for number of stolen bases and not rates. OPS isn't a category in many traditional roto leagues. Position scarcity is a big issue in fantasy leagues. I realize that OPS isn't a category in and of itself, but it does a good job of summarizing the other categories. I may be willing to concede the "fantasy player" argument for 2005, but that's about it. Standard 5x5 roto play: Pujols Arod HR 41 48 Avg .330 .321 RBI 117 130 Runs 129 124 SB 16 21 ARod plays at third which is obviously more scarce than 1B (Arod doesn't qualify in just about any league for SS). But I'd still rather have Pujols on my reality team, no doubt in my mind.
  20. Yea...because going when you have no interest in either team is a heck of a lot better than a fan of either team going. I agree. Find the biggest Sox schmuck outside of the cell and have him give you his 1,000 dollar life savings for the seat.
  21. Where'd Sunnydoo go?
  22. Alex Rodriguez is a better fantasy baseball player. Albert Pujols is a better reality baseball player. The difference in age and salary is enormous, while the production isn't all that different. Give me Pujols every day of the week.
