  1. I think if you offer congrats to Sox fans before they get a chance to let you hear about it, it will make things go a lot smoother. If they can feel you getting enraged about it, it'll make things worse for you and more fun for them. Me? I'm apathetic. They won. I figured they'd win after Game 3. Its no shock. And like Rocket, I don't think they're gonna lose in the Series. I'd like to see it, but I just dont' think its going to happen.
  2. Vance had a great picture of a troll. But we need an emoticon for obvious trolls.
  3. Who other than probably Bobby Cox is universally liked? All managers have flaws.
  4. I think it'd be amusing seeing the trash at the Cell running onto the field (TM WhiteSox Fans many years) as much more of an artistic view than Busch Stadium. That place is a hole.
  5. Is there more details to the punching incident? lol. Sorry it wasn't a great game. WhiteSox fans are total jerks. I was at the game in May Maddux vs. Garcia at Wrigley, & in the 9th this one Sox fan was chanting really loudly 'Cubs Suck'. This teenager starts telling him to sit down & let us watch the game. So he takes her Cubbie bear claw thing & rips it. Then when security came to take him, he wouldn't move & his wife was literally clinging to his back. Like I said- jerks. The idiot got ready to punch an Angels fan who had told him to "shut up" and the usher saw that and stopped him. The Sox fan then tried to punch the usher twice while trying to be held down by him. The usher gave up trying to restrain him after the second punch attempt and just punched him. Do you blame him though Rais? He's trying to get back in prison and be with his fellow Sox fans again. Sox fans, Scum of the earth.
  6. The end of the first half for the Spartans is one of the most embarassing plays I've ever enjoyed. John L. Smith is a tool for that MAJOR blunder.
  7. I've actually had some awful experiences at Giordano's. Every time I order a pizza there, its really burnt (no pun or poster intended) and very dry. I don't get why. Gino's > all.
  8. I believe we may have found a team more impatient than the Cubs. Garland was throwing the ball well tonight, as was Buehrle the other night, but come on. Three runs in two games is a farce.
  9. Tim, I'm just curious. How much do you get per ad click???
  10. Damn bowling. Oh well, I came out 10 bucks ahead tonight.......
  11. It was probably Terry Boers. When he's not fending off "stupid" callers who they yell at because they disagree with Boers' usual nonsense, he's offering such insightful analysis like, "(insert athlete or coach's name that they don't like) is a rectum." I can get that kind of analysis from the homeless lady on the Lawrence bridge off the Kennedy. I expect much more out of the Score; they used to have some real insight. Guys like Les Grobstein (who I still think should be told about this place, because he's a diehard Cub fan, and possibly one of the smartest radio minds I've ever heard), Tommy Williams, Dan McNeil, heck even Mike North was palatable when he was with Dan Jiggets, Julie Swieca was pretty decent (though bitchy). The Score has gone down the tube and thankfully their terrible ratings are continuing to decline.
  12. Alright, Paypal has decided to not be stupid. Sending right now!
  13. I'm trying to send you for a couple months, but Paypal is being really screwy and not taking my new debit card yet :( They're saying my limit is like 2 dollars. I have more than two dollars. I know that.
  14. Couldn't a change of direction happened just from bouncing inside the glove? Also I really don't get it, isn't that all irrelevant since he was signaled out. I thought that superseded anything else, the fact that he was called out. They say that he signaled that it was a strike but never signaled that he was out. I can't take anymore of this dumb umpire's nonsense. He blew it. Admit it like a man and take your pink slip and go home. He's not getting any pink slips. He'll probably get suspended to protect himself when he comes to the Southland. On a mistake of this magnitude, he SHOULD be fired (as should many MLB umps) but the commi$$ioner'$ office doesn't have the balls to do so.

  16. Livid, but under control. I really like Scioscia. will there be an official protest to the league? Protests of the play in question are not allowed:
  17. They are cocky and arrogant because they celebrated winning a playoff game? AJ even said in his interview he didnt know if it hit and wasnt cocky about it at all he just gave Crede credit for getting the hit. I know you guys hate the White Sox and its understandable but there was nothing arrogant about what AJ did. I'm guessing if this happened to "Cardinal Nation" the outcry would be immense as well. This is completely mild by comparison if this had happened to the Cubs instead of the Angels.
  18. What I actually fear is that the league offices will back the umpires on their decision. They often do on controversial calls. And while it makes the league look inept, it shows they have faith in the (in this case idiotic) braintrust on the field. Regardless of whether they are right or wrong.
  19. "The Umps were underpaid, and they saw Reinsdorf opening up the checkbook. BlackSox 2005, unfortunately is here, and its a sad sad day for baseball." Bud $elig on Thursday afternoon.
  20. To Scoiscia and the Angels from MLB about that call. What an embarassment in a game of this magnitude and the result. Inexcusable.
  21. Hence my disclaimer at the bottom of the other post:
  22. Predicting a St. Louis win. Go with the Fins.
  23. Given that the average Sox fan has to return to his/her Halfway House by sundown or risk violating parole its understandable that the park wouldn't be sold out. Haven't you heard? The home monitoring folks have set up a "green" perimeter around the Cell, allowing the slimeballs to do their time while catching the game. JR has the best White Sox angst I've ever seen. Well played.
  24. I'll give Jermaine O' Neal and Kobe Bryant for Dirk and Paul Pierce.
