    Mizzou, with this regime, that is a very dangerous question. We all know the answer is long term extensions for Dusty and Hendry. That would create more anger here than a Neifi contract extension, I'm sure.

    So you are thinking it is a coincedence that the only two "moneyballers" besides Bean were let go/walked away? I'm not saying it's not but I find it interesting. The Gary Hughes' of the world hate the stat heads. JP Riccardi is still in Toronto.

    I think the "merits" of one Scoop Jackson should be discussed. I dislike that the other thread was locked. I understand your POV, Cuse, but are we honestly having an effect on him writing one way or another? I doubt it. ESPN doesn't come here and say, "heh, they're raggin Scoop again, contract extension!" This is a tough time and articles like this are difficult to swallow at any length. His idiocy needs to be exposed.

    Be more patronizing next time. Amen. Perhaps OTB oughta read the board more often before coming up with labels that aren't in line with the fans on this board. Understood. The fans here are passionate diehards who care. I'm familiar with media labels too. I'd say its like the perception about the "Yankees suck" chants. I'm guessing the Sawks boards aren't too keen on that?

    I'm glad the "rational" sox fan lambasts Carlos Lee for not taking walks (57 in 05), when his boy AJ walked only 23 times. Carlos is a corner outfielder who has a lead glove therefore his ability is dependant on his home runs. His salary is too much for his minimal production. AJ is a cheap catcher who prior to this year hit for average. That's ridiculous. So because he doesn't get paid much he doesn't have to take a walk? Come on. Damn you burnt, there you go, gotta be all rational again.
