    What the hell? If we're going to do something, why wait till Monday or Tuesday...be like Nike and Just Do It...we've pissed around too long as it it is... Also...Bruce, if there happens to be any rumblings of what "it" is...we always appreciate that kind of stuff. Lou likes to build suspense. Doesn't he know we've seen this story play out for 98 straight years? We know how it goes by now.

Also...Bruce, if there happens to be any rumblings of what "it" is...we always appreciate that kind of stuff. Possibly it's a trade that won't go through until Monday/Tuesday? I wouldn't think they'd be publically talking about a potential trade like this...my thoughts were that possibly someone could be brought up (Cherry?), or off the DL (Miller?), or a minor leaguer who just started and couldn't pitch again till Monday or Tuesday(??) that's the only thing that made much sense to me.

    Was Cherry really doing that bad? In 8 appearances he had a 2.8 ERA....I know we can't recall him yet, but why'd he go down? Obviously it wasn't b/c they Wanted Fontenot here for much time (I guess just to cover DeRosa?)...seems strange.

    Following this line...could Eyre and Dempster BOTH get Blown Saves for this game?

    But in this case, that's because Eyre was on the mound when the lead was lost. What if Dempster stayed in the whole time? I still don't think it would be a blown save. You can't really blow something you don't have in the first place. It would have just been a loss, I believe. I would think that Eyre could get a Blown Save, b/c he came in during a save situation...Dempster on the other hand, I'm not sure, that's what made me ask the question.

    If the Cubs sweep, I'll donate $10 for someone to have premium for two months, but the person then has to pony up the dough for the next 10 months. 10 bucks! Wow. I've got Premium, but if we sweep I'll pay for 6 months of Premium for someone else, if they agree to buy the rest of the year...

    Considering the direction this team seems to be headed, this could be a fairly pertinent question.....I know you can't come into a non-save situation, give up runs, and then get a save...But if you come into a non-save situation and outright blow the game, is that a "Blown Save"?

    Did Lou just realize it was a LHP or did DeRosa take that long to convince him he's healthy? He had to already know it was a lefty...Jones was out and Pagan was in.

    Funny this is comnig up...I thought about this this morning....I think our starters are going so well its awful hard to blame this on Larry...Monday nights loss where we baically walk the bases loaded to get to Delgado who then walks is on Lou to me...I hate that move, no matter who's up...I think this is on the players, not the coaches.
