  1. Dude, I could throw strikes to Cirillo. How freaking hard is this Marquis? GEEZ!!!
  2. It's like watching a bunch of retards try to play baseball, only retards give more effort.
  3. ON THE FIRST EFFING PITCH???? WTF IS WRONG WITH THESE GUYS!!!!!! JESUS EFFING CHRIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
  4. It's their calling card. Runners in scoring position with nobody out = no runs.
  5. Why? So he could ground into a 1-2-3 double play?
  6. Jimmy John's is awesome. Indeed it is. I'm a big fan of the smoked ham on the Vito.
  7. i didnt write that you fraud. I am not a marquis fan by any stretch but he isnt below average at all OMG JACQUE!!!! WHAT A PLAY I'm pretty sure his ERA+ proves he's the definition of below average. what is his era+? 4.33
  8. What's this? A scoreless inning? Not possible.
  9. with actual talent I'm glad we have Floyd though. We really need his left-handed pop in the lineup.
  10. Didn't Eric Young do it back in 2001? Corey did it in 2001. I thought CP didn't come up until 2002.
  11. How come they are already in the seventh inning? I would think they wouldn't have started until the 3:00 hour.
  12. This is an absolute must-win game, considering that the Cards aren't apparently going to lose anytime soon, and the odds are very good for a Brewers win today. You don't want to go into the Brewers series with only a 0.5 game lead. There's no way the Cubs should be losing two of three from the D-Bags. Its picture perfect replication of the last series. We kill them in the first game, and then can't muster enough offense in the next 2. The thing is that we really didn't kill them in the first game. They should have won by about ten runs. In fact, Dempster still had to come in the ninth after Worst brought in his gas can and threw a few lit matches around the diamond.
  13. I wonder how many of the kids in the LLWS today know that they should be taking the first pitch from guys with a near-6.00 ERA!!! My guess is all of them!!!
  14. That's a good point. Besides the Floyd HR, they had one single. Lee? What the heck? Instead of hitting regular HR's, he's doing the inside-the-park variety now?

  16. Figures. When the pitching's great, the offense sucks. When the offense wakes up, the pitching takes a nap. This bunch of losers will never get it figured out.
  17. I'm really hoping they don't win the West, though it's not as if the Cubs fare any better against the Padres. (sorry for tempting the baseball gods with playoffs talk) I don't think the Wild Card will come out of the West, and I do think the Padres will eventually catch up to and pass the D-Bags once they fall back to earth. That would mean the Cubs' first-round opponent would be the Mets, and in that case the Cubs would get absolutely steamrolled.
  18. Isn't Lincecum pitching? How is there no way they lose tomorrow? Because Bonds won't be in the lineup and Fielder's back from his suspension.
  19. Squandered opportunities. And another loss against a no-talent, meatball-tossing, left-handed pitcher. Tomorrow is an absolute must-win game, because there's no way the Brewers lose tomorrow.
  20. The Cubs have never touched him I dont know how a Cubs hitter can even take a pitch heading outside right now. Have the Cubs ever really hammered a pitcher before over his career? It seems like every pitcher owns them anymore.
  21. Yup, exactly. The Cubs are fighting for a playoff spot and getting screwed with a ridiculous strike zone, but the new Lou just sits there and takes it. Why does even a known fiery manager become a teddy bear when he puts on Cubbie blue? Not saying he should blow up all the time, but Lou's never done this in his entire career. Why? I dunno, but it seems like that 1 fiery Lou episode is all we are going to get. He said he was embarrassed big time by it. Baseball has become so pussified. Billy Martin, Whitey Herzog and Earl Weaver would have never lasted in this modern era, because they'd never say they were embarrassed, because they always got upset for a reason.
