Agreed. If used properly, he could be a good innings eating garbage man, but the only problem with that is that there will not be very many situations for him to come in since we wouldn't have him in the rotation anymore. I'd DFA him - Williams can cover that role. You also don't have bosses that wouldn't be very happy with you losing 5 million dollars. He isn't going to be DFA'd. Two words: sunk cost.

Holy pitchcounts! Because of Rusch's suckiness and/or Dusty and Hendry's failure to recognize that, the following pitchers threw the following number of pitches today: Aardsma - 60 Ohman - 39 Novoa - 56 All because of our management's inability to spot a crappy pitcher.

No, one of them was a 2 run homer. How much are they paying this guy? Twice what the Cards are paying Ponson. Actually, 2.5 times as much.

I feel bad for Rusch because he seems like he's a real likeable guy. But he flat out sucks at baseball. This HAS to be his last start.

Huh? The analogy needs no explanation. Sure it does. I don't see any point in making a comparison like that. He's incompetent, he sucks at his job, he lets everyone around him down, and he should be fired. I don't see it needing an explanation. Sorry, I guess I just wasn't expecting to read some President bashing in the Cubs game thread. Silly me.
