    I was about to post the exact same thing. It better not be a rest issue, because that's just plain dumb. Did he hurt himself falling down on that error yesterday? It's probably a day game after a night game thing. Too bad Dusty doesn't realize that Jacque isn't a catcher.

    Since he didn't actually lose, Treeman is still the thread starter. That issue came up earlier this season and I believe that was the rule. Serena has Uber as the starter in the "Game Thread Starters" thread. Either way, what time does either Uber or Treeman have until before somebody else can start the thread? I thought it was midnight, but who knows.

    Wow, Jacque is murdering RHP this year: .333/.372/.570/.943 That is the line of a great hitter. Too bad he can't hit LHP as well.

    I was watching this game in a bar last night. After Junior hit that in the 9th, I loudly screamed "yes!" Upon getting a LOT of mean looks, I stopped clapping. It sucks living in Cardinals territory.

    I read somewhere a couple weeks ago that a Mulder for Soriano trade had been discussed. I don't remember where, but I think it was in the St. Louis Post.

    Lofton was going to fall off a cliff production wise this year, blah blah blah. I heard that so many times this offseason. I wanted Lofton. I've wanted Lofton since he left.

    That's some questionable logic. On April 28 the Cubs were 13-8 and Jacque Jones was hitting .231/.281/.500. On May 9 the Cubs were 14-18 and JJ was hitting .244/.289/.444. Jones is indeed very much part of the problem. Yes, he has turned it up of late, and that's great, and yes he has outperformed Aramis. But his history indicates it won't last, and his extremely poor .317 OBP is hurting the team a lot already. Aramis is part of the problem, Jones is part of the problem, Pierre is an enormous part of the problem, everybody is part of the problem. I don't think I can agree with that. Yes, his OBP is low, but his SLG makes up for it. Only Michael Barrett has a higher OPS right now. Jones is doing his part.
