  1. Rot in hell? Wow, how classy of you. Pathetic.
  2. Nice job reading that ball, Murton. What the hell was that?
  3. Did anyone catch that, or am I off here?
  4. I'm positive that I saw Larry say the words "pitch around" on that most recent mound visit... if true, good job listening (again), Zambrano, you f--ing moron.
  5. I've got a good feeling about today. I think Z is going to dominate, like he usually does when he faces LA. The Brewers and Cardinals both have unfavorable pitching matchups as well, so this could be a big day for us!
  6. Dane Cook is pretty funny, I don't get the hatred towards him. Dislike him, sure that's fine. But people pure straight hate the guy. Why?
  7. I can't say I'm pumped about Trachsel joining the rotation, but I'm also not upset (or surprised) to see Marshall temporarily removed from it.
  8. Yea Im signed up for premium but it should be running out soon. Id guess you could PM Tim and let him know you are paying for mine, that would probably be the easiest way to handle it. Thanks by the way, and GO ILLINI Will do. And you may have won the bet, but my team won the game. I'll take that.
  9. I love how you say this like it's a fact. It couldn't possibly be that maybe the grounders that Capuano gives up are hit a lot harder than this major league average pitcher that your computer has calculated, could it? Just because a pitcher gives up more ground ball hits than his peers, doesn't mean he's unlucky. It could, and likely does, mean that the hits he gives up are because he's not as good as the average pitcher.
  10. A couple things on the Mizzou game that various people have mentioned... Daniels' arm was most definitely going forward on that "fumble." Even the announcers, who were biased towards Illinois the whole game, were shocked by the call. The teary eyed backup QB was most definitely not down on that 100 yard fumble return. No doubt about it. The ball came out when his knee was a good 12 inches away from being down. The two blown delay of game calls were ridiculous. How those are missed, ever, I'll never understand. Keener, are you signed up for Premium right now? When does it expire? How do you want to do this?
  11. Like I said, youthful mistakes. Illinois is clearly the more talented team. How in the world do you figure that? I'll give credit where credit is due, because you guys played a good game. But is shouldn't have been that close. And someone tell that backup QB to stop crying. How embarrassing!
  12. Mizzou's defense was dominant on that first series.
  13. The Illini QB's name is Juice? Seriously?
  14. What the hell, why is the Mizzou game not on yet?
  15. It would be awesome if at least two out of Lee, Ramirez, and Soriano get hot this month and carry us into the postseason.
  16. ? I am also a Pence. Are you his actual cousin or are you just saying that since you have the same last name? 2nd cousin. He actually has posted on here, but got banned. Haha, are you serious? What happened?
  17. Ha, you don't really think you're going to win, do you?
  18. Wow, just realized how solid Marquis has been today. Great performance thus far!
  19. This is really bothering me right now for some reason. Aside from a situation where the opposing starter is someone that Monroe has just destroyed, can anyone give me a logical explanation for why he would ever start in place of Murton?
  20. I'm sick of seeing Craig Monroe starting over Murton.
  21. WHIP over 1.50 and absolutely ridiculously terrible K/BB, what else needs to be checked? He's awful. He was awful last year with an ERA of nearly 5, he was over 5 this year until he started getting lucky in August. He still can't strike anybody out, he's walking more than he strikes out and giving up too many baserunners. He's awful. Again, he's a number 3 or 4 starter if you compare him to his peers. That's not awful. This is pretty simple, I don't understand what's so hard to understand about it.
  22. Then you aren't looking at this the least bit rationally. Hendry gets crap because he makes crap moves. How else do you barely break .500 over 5 seasons with a top tier payroll? Steve Trachsel is a terrible pitcher. He was decent from time to time earlier in his career, but he sucked last year and he's sucked this year. He was destroyed late in the Mets postseason run last year, because he sucks. He's walking a ton of guys and not striking out anybody, and he's giving up a considerable amount of hits. He's been lucky in August that his ERA is as low as it has been. Steve Trachsel is not a terrible pitcher. I wish, for once, that you'd drop the hyperbole. Opponents have a near .800 OPS against him the past 3 years. I'd say that's pretty terrible. Okay... if you look league wide, an 800 OPS against would rank Trachsel 75th in baseball, which would make him a number three starter. So unless every single 4th and 5th starter in baseball is "terrible", then no, Steve Trachsel is not a terrible pitcher. For pitchers with at least 100 IP.... Trachsel is dead last in K/BB, behind such legends as Joe Kennedy and Mike Maroth as the only players with a K/BB below 1. Trachsel is bad. No, Trachsel is average. His OPS against, WHIP, and ERA all place him as a 3rd or 4th starter. are you kidding me? What's that supposed to mean? Feel free to check the numbers yourself.
