    ? Now I now how people who dont get to see any games feel. What is the wow for? Morgan doubled on a ball that landed about two feet into the grass. If Ramirez wasn't playing in for the bunt, it would have been a floater pop-out.

    Thanks! I'm trying to plan a mini-vacation sometime in the next couple months or so and wanted to make sure I don't do it when there's a Cubs game on!

    You know, he's not in control of that. There is a manager around. If taking a day off today means he'll play the rest of the way, I'll take it. A manager? Really, what's that? Don't talk to me like I'm an idiot. Come on, if Ramirez wanted to play badly enough today, he would've been in the lineup and you know it. Wow, how ridiculous. Ramirez has told Lou, and the press, on more than one occasion that he doesn't need anymore rest and he'll play everyday. Lou thinks otherwise. It's his call. I'm sure that it was Lou's idea, I'm not doubting that at all. I just wish that our cleanup hitter would convince his manager to not sit him during the most critical month of the season.

    I really hope this doesn't come off as a Ramirez bash, because it isn't intended to be. But he needs to suck it up and play everyday in September. We've put up with him jogging and half-assing it the whole season (which is fine, considering the risk associated with him playing full steam ahead), but he needs to man up and play everyday from here on out.

    I like this idea, though I think having a Stickied thread is a better way to do it. And since I'm here, let me ask this question... the phrase "purchased his contract", what exactly does it mean? Do the Cubs literally buyout the contract, and give the minor leaguer all of the money he would've been due the rest of the year, as well as what he makes at league minimum in the big leagues? And sorry, I'm referring to when a big league team calls up a minor leaguer. That was terribly worded, but hopefully you get what I'm saying.

    Ankiel is like Rob Deer, Gorman Thomas and Dave Kingman, all rolled into one. Only with more coke. Did he really take coke? Because I'm having an argument about my friend on this issue where he's saying he didn't take coke and I'm saying he did. Yes, he was definitely big into blow when he first came up. Supposedly he no longer does it.

I was, naturally, going to wait til it ran out to fulfill our bet. Oh ok well I never heard anything back from you so I didnt know what was up cause in one of the threads I told you it had ran out. I also sent you a PM today no big deal, I just didnt know what was going on. Oh sorry, I just now noticed that. I never even look up at that area of the site, so I didn't even notice. I'll check it now.
