    Maybe the Rangers getting Hank's little brother, might help him rediscover his talents. From what I've heard about Hank is that he has a problem listening to any instruction from coaches.

    That's funny because after the trade with Texas I thought so this is why they made the deal. Thanks Diffusion for the holy cow feeling that I felt for a brief moment.

    Dayton Moore as GM and Orel Hershiser as manager. That's interesting that you like Hershiser and Dierker for manager. IMO it doesn't seem like ex-pitchers make good managers.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't he in Daytona his last season in our system. I don't think Willis even had that much AA time. I don't remember Jehr...I just know he didn't pitch AAA. AAA is fine for a measuring stick for a lot of pitchers but IMO some are just ready at a younger age and maybe Marshall is one of those players.

    How many pitchers from AA have had decent years in the past 5 years? Willis was brought up from AA and I'm sure more have been good. I also believe that Florida won a WS with Willis on the starting rotation.

    I would like to see a guy with some pop in his bat on the bench and I think that guy should be Sing. Hairston and Perez are pretty versatile so that ought to cover the middle infield. Can Sing play left or right?

    Florida sure does love the young Cub pitchers.

    I suppose marking on a curve it's better but I'm not so sure a back injury is a good thing.

    I don't understand why they would keep Grissom, which means they have to open up a 40 man roster spot for him, when they have a guy like Pagan who is very similar (if not better) who had a great spring and is already on the 40 man roster. So if they don't keep Grissom their bench is: Blanco Neifi Hairston Mabry Pagan ??? Who is your 6th bench guy? The only player on the 40 man roster that makes any sense is Theriot. Theriot is fine, but now you have three back-up middle infielders (Hairston, Neifi, Theriot) and only two back-up outfielders (Pagan, Mabry), with Pagan hardly being a sure thing to produce. Hairston can also be a back-up OF but indications seem to be that he will be getting a lot of starts at 2B so Walker will probably be on the bench as much if not more than him. I am not a big Grissom fan but with who Baker has left in camp I don't see any better options for now than keeping him around. Has Restovich played well enough to prove he belongs?

    I believe he's an NBA assistant now. He was a head coach in the CBA at one time, but I don't believe the CBA exists anymore. I think the NBA's developmental league replaced it. As a Cuse fan, I'm sure Smart is your favorite player ever. :D That game doesn't bother me anymore plus I figure it's the last time Indiana will ever win the NCAA's so it was a pity game for us. :D

    Really? I thought his first AB was pretty good, given that he managed to battle back before Harden blew it by him. I just caught the 3rd strike that he couldn't catch up with that was out of the strike zone.
